Sports’ Day – 30.10.15

All students attending Wardija Resource Centre participated in the first SPORTS’ DAY for this scholastic year. Sports’ Day was held at Cottonera Sports Complex and as in past years, students had the opportunity to take part in various physical activities. These included Obstacle Race, Basketball, Bowling, Hit the Ball, Football, Cycling and Zumba. Parents/carers were also invited and they had the opportunity to take part and enjoy themselves together with our students.

On Monday 16th November, two students together with Dinja Waħda coordinator, a teacher representing all teachers who participated in Dinja Waħda activities and the Head of our Resource Centre were invited to attend to Dinja Waħda celebration. During the celebration our students received a Gold Award on behalf of the Centre. This year, our Centre will be participating in Dinja Waħda Project for the second scholastic year. Its aim is to promote environmental education. As a Centre, we are giving importance to the environment as we believe that our students can make a difference in making both our Centre and the local environment greener and cleaner.

Students at our Centre have embarked on another project under the Kreattiv scheme.  Lampuki (metal work), Mr James Micallef Grimaud (Graffiti) and Ms Sue Mifsud (Pottery) have all teamed up as to offer an invaluable experience to our students in each and every artistic field.  The project is still ongoing.
