On May 31st, the Resource Centre Council organised the second edition of Charity Day, with this year’s mission statement being: “Charity begins at home”. All activity proceeds will go to the needs of our students, particularly a wheelchair user who is also a resident at Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi.
Mr. Agius, (Head of the Resource Centre) and Mr. Nicholas Camilleri (Resource Centre’s Council representative) presented a cheque amounting to €285.50 to Ms. Remona Cuschieri (House Mother) and Ms. Marvic Deguara (carer) on June 28th (photo attached). The total sum collected by the staff and students’ participation in the event activities was of €571.
In the near future these money will be used to buy a new wheelchair for this student and other resources of which our students will surely benefit. The Council would like to thank all those students, their parents and the staff members for participating fully in the event, making it successful and raising funds.
