The Resource Centre ensures that our\u00a0students are prepared\u00a0to venture on future challenges life offers beyond their schooling\u00a0experience.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Tasks carried out\u00a0are threefold. Students are prepared\u00a0for:<\/p>\n
(A).\u00a0 The World of Work;<\/p>\n
(B).\u00a0 Entrance into other local Educational Establishments;<\/p>\n
(C).\u00a0 Entrance into Ability Training\u00a0Centres for Adults.<\/p>\n

(A<\/strong>).\u00a0 The World of Work<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n Students are prepared\u00a0for the world of work by:<\/p>\n (i). Being given job experiences in various work settings (e.g. Old People\u2019s Homes, Local Councils, Nurseries, etc.);<\/p>\n (ii). Setting up a compilation of\u00a0students\u2019 portfolios;<\/p>\n (iii). Ensuring that students master employability skills that enhance more job opportunities through centre-based and community-based activities;<\/p>\n (iv). Ensuring awareness of support services (e.g. ETC \u2013 Supported Employment, KNPD services, etc.) through information and guidance to all stakeholders.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (B<\/strong>).\u00a0 Other Educational Establishments<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n The Resporce Centre through the Vocational Exploration Co-ordinator ensures\u00a0that our students are made aware of other local educational establishments (e.g. MCAST- Pathway to Independent Living Programme) and help them to move to such establishments.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n (C<\/strong>).\u00a0 Ability Training Centres<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n Students who cannot make it to the world of\u00a0work, but who could benefit more by attending Ability Training Centres,\u00a0would\u00a0have\u00a0special ‘Vocational Profiles’ set-up.
